Excerpt from the fatwa written by Osama bin Laden and faxed to the Al Quds Al Arabi newspaper in London in August 1996, amounting to a declaration of war against the United States, Israel, the West and Christianity itself:
"Our Lord, the people of the cross had come with their horses and occupied the land of the two holy places. And the Zionist Jews fiddling as they wish with the Al-Aqsa mosque, the route of the ascendence of the Messenger of Allah (ALLAH'S BLESSINGS AND SALUTATIONS ON HIM). Our Lord, shatter their gathering, divide them among themselves, shake the earth under their feet and give us control over them; our Lord, we take refuge in you from their deeds and take you as a shield between us and them."
Jeremiah 50:31-34:
"Behold, I am against thee, O thou most proud, saith the Lord GOD of hosts: for thy day is come, the time when I will visit thee.
"And the most proud shall stumble and fall, and none shall raise him up: and I will kindle a fire in his cities, and it shall devour all round about him.
"Thus saith the LORD of hosts: The children of Israel and the children of Judah were oppressed together: and all that took them captives held them fast; they refused to let them go.
"Their Redeemer is strong, the LORD of hosts is His Name: He shall thoroughly plead their cause, that He may give rest to the land, and disquiet the inhabitants of Babylon."
No matter where you go, no matter how long it takes, no matter how much it costs, no matter what we have to do or what we have to sacrifice, no matter who we offend, we will never, ever, ever give up hunting you. We will hunt you to the very ends of the Earth, to the dark side of the moon if we have to. If it is God's Will that you escape us and die of old age, so be it; but if it is God's Will that you fall into our hands, we will come for you in the night, we will shoot you in the face in front of your children and dump your body in the ocean for the sharks to fight over. And when you are dead, you will face the justice of Almighty God, administered immediately, righteously and eternally for torturing and murdering His saints. This is the end reserved for the servants of Lucifer.
